Both Uber and Lyft drivers operate out of Green Valley and we are in the process of contacting all of them to ensure they will be available each evening of the festival. If you are coming in early and or leaving late, consider renting a car for at least a day, as there is quite a lot to see in the area, but this being the American Southwest and there is a lot of open area between sights. Welcome to the second all live music tango festival for dancers being held in Green Valley, AZ. This event and the AB-Qtango Fest held in Albuquerque, NM in March, are the ONLY two festivals of their kind in the world, featuring 100% live music aimed at dancers rather than musicians. These events also enable the dancers and musicians to meet each other, share what they have learned about tango music and the dance, and build a community of people looking to support live tango music. GV-QTango Fest came about immediately following the AB-Qtango Fest in 2018. The success of that event led to a discussion of expanding the reach of the festival and the GVR Argentine Tango Club stepped forward to supply the venue and the organization to make it happen. Since Green Valley/Tucson is within a days drive (8 hours) of San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Albuquerque, it was the perfect location to make this festival available to a much greater population of dancers. There are multiple hotels, B&B's, and Airbnb locations in and around Green Valley. We have negotiated a reduced price for festival attendees at the Wyndham Canoa Ranch Resort, which is a short distance from the festival venue.
