Marathon Update

We are just 12 weeks away from the Monsoon Tango Marathon! Green Valley facilities are slowly opening up, and the process should accelerate as time goes on. We are very optimistic that the marathon will occur this August as planned.

That being said:

We are still taking, and encouraging, registrations. As with nearly all tango events, we hope leaders register early in order to ensure our wonderful followers can dance every tanda.
If you pay early, and if for any reason the event does get cancelled, we guarantee a full refund of your registration fees.
All of our DJ’s are still committed to the marathon, so you can expect high quality tango you love to dance to.

We will continue to watch the situation and will let you know of any change in plans. Looking forward to seeing you in Green Valley this summer so everyone can expend the pent-up tango energy caused by this virus!

Experience the Energy in Southern Arizona!

Be a part of the inaugural Monsoon Tango Marathon in Green Valley, AZ. Not only will we be providing all the things Green Valley is known for (friendly atmosphere, fantastic facilities, and large wood dance-floor) but there is an excellent chance that Mother Nature will put on a spectacular firework show during the marathon. If you have never seen one of these monsoon lightning storms moving over the Santa Rita Mountains, this will be your front row seat to hopefully watch and photograph one.

The Monsoon Tango Marathon will be role balanced, includes 24 hours of dancing over 3 days, the best in classic tango music provided by some of your favorite tango DJ’s, with food and refreshments available at every milonga. All for the low price of $79/person. Since this is low season in Southern Arizona, lodging is both plentiful and inexpensive.

PLEASE READ BEFORE RESERVING YOUR PASS!

THIS EVENT WILL BE GENDER/ROLE BALANCED

We prefer to have a smaller follow/lead balanced event than a sold out one with lots of people sitting. Single followers will be placed on a wait list, in the order of registration, until there is a leader available for balance. We are working diligently to encourage leaders to attend, but single followers can help this process. Please, encourage the leaders you know to either sign up immediately, or combine with your favorite leader and purchase a couples pass. We check our messages and emails daily, so you will be notified as soon as you are moved off the wait list and able to purchase a pass.

SPACE IS LIMITED

There are only 200 passes available for this marathon, so register as soon as possible to ensure you have a spot.

PASSES ARE TRANSFERABLE

If you can only make it to some events, you can give your pass to a friend for the events you won't be attending. All we ask that you email us your friend’s name so we can add it to your list and avoid confusion.

NOTE: the pass is only transferable to another dance with the same role (follow-follow, lead-lead).

We will keep you posted, but we doubt we’ll have any. If you know you will only want to attend specific milongas, register below and put your request in the comments sectioin at the bottom of the form to be added to the wait list. If single event tickets are made available, those on the wait list will get the first chance to purchase them.
